Maggie Hansen is a landscape designer and assistant professor in landscape architecture at the University of Texas at Austin.  From 2014-2017, she was director of the Small Center for Community Design, where she guided the center’s program expansion in support of an equitable New Orleans.

Her current work investigates how ‘care taking’ (of space, of shared histories, of caretakers) serves to maintain and build community, through civic and environmental stewardship.
