LRG Event: Conservation and Multispecies Relations in Contemporary European Tourism Environments

To celebrate the publication of Conservation and Multispecies Relations in Contemporary European Tourism Environments (Volume 49, Issue 7 Landscape Research) LRG & LR hosted a special online Zoom event on Thursday 13th February at 1pm GMT.

This Special Issue of Landscape Research builds on recent developments in landscape studies and multispecies research to explore how the human and non-human constitute one another in the context of nature tourism. The research is concerned with an interest in what happens when environmental and conservation projects meet tourism pursued as a strategy for regional development. Within that context, you will hear how landscapes appear as a physical presence, repositories of different kinds of histories and as collective concerns that provoke and inspire ever-new interpretations and discoveries.

This event is led by the Special Issue Editors, during which each researcher gives a short presentation on their fascinating work, followed by time for reflections at the end.
