Emily is a PhD Candidate based in the Waterford Institute of Technology in Ireland. Her research focuses on creating a transdisciplinary landscape biography of an upland parish in the Comeragh Mountains in south east Ireland; the first time a landscape has been approached in this way in the country. She is the recipient of the Landscape Research Group grant in 2018 and also received funding from the Upland Irish Forum, both of which enabled her to incorporate GIS mapping into the research.
